Detailed Description
This cmdlet creates a snapshot of a selected Dell VNX storage volume.
Parameters

Creating Dell VNX Storage Snapshot
This example shows how to create a volume snapshot.
$storage = Get-VNXHost -Name "VNX Storage" $volume = Get-VNXVolume -Name "VOLUME1" -Host $storage Add-VNXSnapshot -Volume $volume -Name "Snapshot01" |
Perform the following steps:
- Run the Get-VNXHost cmdlet. Specify the Name parameter value. Save the result to the $storage variable.
- Run the Get-VNXVolume cmdlet. Specify the Name parameter value. Set the $storage variable as the Host parameter value. Save the result to the $volume variable.
- Run the Add-VNXSnapshot cmdlet. Set the $volume variable as the Volume parameter value. Specify the Name parameter value.
