Veeam uses the SSL certificates to secure the SSL connection between the service provider and the user infrastructures. The service provider sets up an SSL certificate on the service provider side.
With Veeam PowerShell, you can select an existing SSL certificate from the Microsoft Windows Certificates store. The certificate must be imported into the certificate store beforehand.
With Veeam PowerShell, you cannot create a self-signed certificate or import an SSL certificate from file in the PFX format. These options are available only if you use UI.
