Detailed Description

This cmdlet modifies the VBRHealthCheckOptions object that defines backup files health check schedule options.

Important

You cannot apply the Set-VBRHealthCheckOptions cmdlet to a backup job.

Note

To modify settings, specify new values for the necessary parameters. The cmdlet will overwrite the previous parameter values with new values. The parameters that you omit will remain unchanged.

Specifies the health check schedule options you want to modify.

Accepts the VBRHealthCheckOptions object. To create this object, run the New-VBRHealthCheckOptions cmdlet.

DayNumber

For the monthly health check of backup files.

Specifies the day of the month when the job performs backup files health check. Parameter accepts the following values:

  • First: the job will perform the health check on the first specified day of the week for the selected months.
  • Second: the job will perform the health check on the second specified day of the week for the selected months.
  • Third: the job will perform the health check on the third specified day of the week for the selected months.
  • Fourth: the job will perform the health check on the fourth specified day of the week for the selected months.
  • Last: the job will perform the health check on the last specified day of the week for the selected months.
  • OnDay: the job will perform the health check on the selected day of the month. Use the DayOfMonth parameter to set the day.

Modifying Backup Files Health Check Schedule Options

This command modifies the following health check schedule options:

  • The job will perform the light health check.
  • The job runs weekly on Sunday at 18:00.

$hs = New-VBRHealthCheckOptions

Set-VBRHealthCheckOptions -Options $hs -Enable -ScheduleType Weekly -DayOfWeek Sunday -WeeklyPeriod 18:00 -SelectedDays Sunday

Perform the following steps:

  1. Run the New-VBRHealthCheckOptions cmdlet. Save the result to the $hs variable.
  2. Run the Set-VBRHealthCheckOptions cmdlet. Specify the following settings:
  • Set the $hs variable as the Options parameter value.
  • Provide the Enable parameter.
  • Specify the ScheduleType parameter value.
  • Specify the DayOfWeek parameter value.
  • Specify the WeeklyPeriod parameter value.
  • Specify the SelectedDays parameter value.
