Example 1

This example shows how to change the port number and protocol for connecting with NetApp storage system.

  1. Run Get-NetAppHost to get a storage system that you want to modify. Save the result to the $storage variable.
  2. Run Set-NetAppHost with the $storage variable.

$storage = Get-NetAppHost -Name "NetApp Store"

Set-NetAppHost -Host $storage -IsHTTP $true -Port 80

Example 2

This example shows how to exclude specified NetApp storage volumes from the rescan session.

  1. Run Get-NetAppHost to get the storage system whose settings you want to modify. Save the result to the $storage variable.
  2. Run Get-NetAppInfrastructureVolume to get volumes that you do not want to rescan. Save the result to the $volumes variable.
  3. Run Set-NetAppHost with the $storage and $volumes variables.

$storage = Get-NetAppHost -Name "NetApp Store"

$volumes = Get-NetAppInfrastructureVolume -Name "ISCSI Volume4", "ISCSI Volume5", "NFS Volume1"

Set-NetAppHost -Host $storage -VolumeScanType Exclude -ExcludedVolume $volumes

Example 3

This example shows shows how to rescan all volumes added to an NetApp storage system.

  1. Run Get-NetAppHost to get the storage system whose settings you want to modify. Save the result to the $storage variable.
  2. Run Get-NetAppInfrastructureVolume with the Host parameter to get volumes that you want to rescan. Save the result to the $volumes variable.
  3. Run Set-NetAppHost with the $storage and $volumes variables.

$storage = Get-NetAppHost -Name "NetApp Store"

$volumes = Get-NetAppInfrastructureVolume -Host $storage

Set-NetAppHost -Host $storage -VolumeScanType Include -Included $volumes
