Veeam Alert Statistics Report

The Veeam Alert Statistics Report analyzes the alerting activity for given filter parameters.

Description

The Veeam Alert Statistics Report extends the functionality of the Microsoft Generic Report library by adding the following advanced features:

  • Alerts statistics: the report shows alerts statistics for the selected period in two modes - per-rule/monitor statistics (Alert Statistics mode) and per-object statistics (Troublemakers mode).
  • Two levels of detail: the report offers two levels of detail for every mode.

The Alert Statistics mode shows per-rule/monitor statistics at the first level and itemizes the statistics by troublemaker at the details level. The Troublemakers mode shows statistics for troublemakers at the first level and itemizes the statistics by rule/monitor at the details level.

  • Comparing two time intervals: the report allows you to compare the alerting activity within two time intervals and investigate the activity trend.
  • Management Pack selection: you can choose specific management packs to analyze the alerting activity of rules and monitors included in these MPs.

Parameters

1st Interval Date/Time Selection: defines a time period for the report with relative or fixed dates.

Use Second Interval: defines whether the report should analyze alert activity during two time intervals. If the second interval is enabled, the report will compare alert activity for specified time intervals and display the activity trend (whether the number of alerts has increased or decreased).

2nd Interval Date/Time Selection: defines a time period for the second time interval with relative or fixed dates.

Note

The second interval must be set in all cases, regardless of the Use Second Interval value. This is by Microsoft design; the behavior of report parameter controls cannot be changed.

Mode: defines the report mode (Alert Statistics or Troublemakers).

Scope: defines a list of Groups or Objects for which alert statistics should be shown.
The Add Group option returns a Group and all objects it contains. The Add Object option returns only the selected object.

Management Packs: defines management packs that include rules/monitors you want to analyze in the report. All MPs are selected by default.
