Performing Unstructured Data Recovery

You can restore entire file share or specific files and folders. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Click All > Veeam > Unstructured Data > Restore Sessions.
2. Click New.
3. Specify the name of the restore session.
4. Select the backup and the restore point.
5. Select the restore type:

• To restore entire file share, in the Type drop-down list, select Entire File Share Restore. Then, specify the destination server and destination folder path.
• To restore specific files and folders, in the Type drop-down list, select File Restore. Then, specify file names and folder names in the Items To Restore field.

6. If the file with the same name already exists in the target folder and you want to override it with the restored one, select the Overwrite Existing Files check box.
7. To allow a specific user group to run this session, unlock the User Groups field and select a user group from the list.
8. Click Submit. The restore session starts immediately. Restore session states are automatically updated every hour using REST API requests.
