To send SNMP traps, Veeam ONE Monitor must know trap destination. That is why, in the Veeam ONE Monitor console, you must specify trap destination and a port that SNMP receivers will listen on.
To configure SNMP trap notifications:
- On the toolbar, click Options and select Server Settings.
Alternatively, press [CTRL + S] keys on the keyboard.
- In the Server Settings window, open the SNMP tab.
- On the SNMP tab, click Add.
- To configure the new SNMP recipient:
- Double-click the new filed.
- Select the new field and click Configure.
- In the Receiver field, specify DNS name or IP address of the SNMP receiver.
- In the Port field, specify the port number.
The default SNMP port is 162.
- In the Community string field, enter the community identifier.
- Click OK.
- In the list of SNMP receivers, choose the version of the SNMP protocol to be used.
- To add a new receiver to the list, click Add and repeat steps 1-6. You can send trap notifications to 4 different destinations at once.
To remove a receiver from the list:
- Select a receiver from the list.
- Click Delete.
