Important

Consider the following:

  • Notifications are capped at 100,000 per agent, pausing data collection if exceeded until communication resumes. Collector restart can be performed with the repair option in Veeam ONE.
  • Veeam ONE Analytics service only collects performance data from the Veeam Backup & Replication server itself. Data from proxies, repositories, or remote hosts is not collected.
  • Veeam ONE Analytics service's agent-based model applies only to Veeam Backup & Replication and Enterprise Manager (not Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365) and is supported only on versions 12 and higher.
  • Each agent is owned by a single Veeam ONE server. If another Veeam ONE server connects, it must explicitly overwrite ownership. Approval is internal and does not require permission from a Veeam Backup & Replication security officer.
  • Veeam ONE Analytics service repair requires approval and a maintenance window as it reinstalls the agent. Minor updates are seamless, but major upgrades (for example, to version 13) require a fresh installation.

For Windows:

  • Veeam ONE Analytics service uses port 2805 for data collection from Veeam ONE.
  • Windows servers may temporarily require WMI for some data. Use manual agent install as an alternative if WMI ports are closed. WMI is needed for performance data.
  • Veeam ONE Analytics service agents can be automatically installed by Enterprise Manager if user credentials match, otherwise manual installation is required.
  • Veeam ONE Analytics service data is collected through WMI counters (RPC/DCOM).

For Linux:

  • Veeam Backup & Replication servers for Linux uses port 443 by reverse proxy.
  • Automatic agent installation through Enterprise Manager is not allowed.
  • Data is collected on Linux by direct requests to services.
