Multi-Factor Authentication

Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can leverage multi-factor authentication (MFA) from Microsoft Entra ID. Multi-factor authentication creates a more secure environment and protects user accounts from being compromised.

Microsoft 365 global administrators can enable multi-factor authentication for their tenants in Microsoft Entra ID. Veeam Data Cloud users will then have to verify their identity during sign-in. For more information, see this Microsoft article.

If Microsoft 365 global administrators want to enable MFA for specific users and groups or use 3rd-party authentication providers, they can create conditional access policies in Microsoft Entra ID. For more information on conditional access, see this Microsoft article.
