Step 7. Specify Repository Settings

In this article

At the Repository Settings step of the wizard, you can enable encryption for created backups.

    Note:

Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure uses the same encryption standards as Veeam Backup & Replication to encrypt backup files stored in backup repositories. For more information on Veeam Backup & Replication encryption standards, see the Encryption Standards section of the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.

    1. Select the Enable encryption check box if you want to enable encryption.
    2. In the Password field, enter a new password that you want to use to encrypt data during backup.
    3. In the Repeat password field, re-enter the password.
    4. In the Password hint field, enter a hint that might help you remember the password if you forgot it.

To see the password, click and hold the eye icon on the right-hand side of both the Password and the Repeat password fields.
