You must add to the backup infrastructure VMware vSphere servers on which VMs that you plan to process reside.
You can add vCenter Servers and ESX(i) hosts. If an ESX(i) host is managed by the vCenter Server, it is recommended that you add the vCenter Server, not a standalone ESX(i) host. Connecting the vCenter Server instead of standalone ESX(i) hosts provides more flexibility at work.
To add a VMware vSphere server, use the New VMware Server wizard.
- Launch the New VMware Server wizard
- Specify a server name or address
- Specify credentials
- Specify SSH settings
- Finish working with the wizard
