Connecting Veeam Backup & Replication Servers

In this article

To be able to orchestrate a standalone Veeam Backup & Replication server, you must deploy an Orchestrator agent on the server. The Orchestrator agent will trigger orchestration commands on that server.

To deploy an Orchestrator agent on a standalone Veeam Backup & Replication server:

    1. Log in to the Orchestrator UI as an Orchestrator Administrator. For more information, see Accessing Orchestrator UI.

Only Administrators are allowed to add and remove Orchestrator agents on Veeam Backup & Replication servers.

    1. Switch to the Administration page.
    2. Navigate to Orchestrator Agents.
    3. Click Install.
    4. Complete the Install Orchestrator Agent wizard:
    1. At the Choose Veeam Server step, in the Server field, enter a DNS name or an IP address of the server where you want to deploy the Orchestrator agent.

Use the Type options to specify whether the server is a Veeam Backup & Replication server or Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager server.

    Note

If you choose the Veeam Enterprise Manager Server option, Orchestrator agents will be deployed to all Veeam Backup & Replication servers managed by the Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager.
