Roles

In this article

    There are 3 roles that you can assign to Windows Active Directory users and user groups who will work with Orchestrator. Actions a user can perform depend on the role.

    • Administrator — can perform all configuration actions, can manage user roles, and can also act as a Plan Author and Plan Operator for any orchestration plan.
    • Plan Author — can create, copy, edit and test orchestration plans, and can also generate Orchestrator reports and view dashboards.
    • Plan Operator — can schedule, run and test orchestration plans, and can also generate Orchestrator reports and view dashboards.

    The following table describes the functionality available to users with different roles in the Orchestrator UI.
