Specifying Monthly Schedule

To create a monthly schedule for the backup policy, at the Schedule step of the wizard, specify the following:

Turn on the Monthly Retention toggle to open the Monthly schedule window.
In the Snapshots field, select months when the backup policy will create VM snapshots.
In the Backups field, select months when the backup policy will create VM backups.

Tip

Use the Select All, Clear All and Undo buttons to make selection easier.

From the Create restore point at drop-down list, select time when the backup policy will create restore points.
From the Run on drop-down list, select a day of the month when the backup policy will run.
In the Snapshot Settings section, specify the number of snapshots that you want to keep. If this limit is exceeded, Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft Azure will remove the earliest snapshot from the chain.
In the Backup Settings section, specify the retention period to keep VM backups in days or months.

Important

Your monthly invoice amount may vary depending on the backup frequency and retention settings. To avoid additional costs, adjust the backup policy settings to keep fewer restore points in the snapshot chain.
