Restoring Azure VMs from Backup Copy

You can restore an Azure VM from a copy of the backup created by an Azure VM policy. Backup copies are stored in an external backup repository. To learn more about creating backup copies, see Creating Backup Copy Jobs.

To restore an entire VM from an external backup repository to Azure, do the following:

1. Launch the Restore from Object Storage to Azure wizard.
2. Select a restore point.
3. Select Azure service account and restore mode.
4. Specify instance and network settings for the restored VM.
5. Review the restore setup and complete the restore process.
