To create a yearly schedule for the backup policy, at the Schedule step of the wizard, specify the following:
- Turn on the Yearly Retention toggle to open the Yearly schedule window.
- In the Backup Settings section, specify the following:
- From the Create restore point at drop-down list, select time when the backup policy will create VM backups.
- In the Run on field, specify a day of the month when the backup policy will create VM backups.
- In the Keep backups for field, specify the retention period to keep VM backups in years.

Your monthly invoice amount may vary depending on the backup frequency and retention settings. To avoid additional costs, adjust the backup policy settings to keep fewer restore points in the snapshot chain. |
