Veeam Management Pack 8.0 Update 6 for System Center
Veeam MP for VMware Online Knowledge Base

esx.problem.vmfs.lock.corruptondisk

Summary

The VMFS volume is corrupt.

Causes

I/O error, perhaps caused by bad shutdown due to power failure, or faulty controller/connection.

Resolutions

It is probable that the data is not recoverable. You should create a new datastore and restore your data from backups. Stop using the corrupted datastore.

Note: You may attempt to recover some data from the corrupted datastore using:

  • vCenter migrate feature
  • vmkfstools
  • the datastore browser.

If you are able to recover any data using above methods, you should validate the data to ensure that it has not been affected by the corruption.

Refer to this VMware KB article for more information.

External
