Veeam VMware: Database Health Alarm

This monitor tracks the vCenter Server Database Health Alarm.

By default, the alarm is triggered by the following events:

  • DBHealthStatusClearEvent: Database health status changed from YELLOW to GREEN.
  • vim.event.HealthStatusChangedEvent: Database health status changed from GREEN to YELLOW (used: 82%, threshold: 80%).
  • vim.event.HealthStatusChangedEvent: Database health status changed from GREEN to RED (used: 97%, threshold: 95%).

If the vCenter Server Database Health Alarm is not GREEN, try increasing the storage space for the database and restarting the VMware vCenter Server service. Another option is to delete unnecessary data from the database.

If you do not want the vCenter Server to shut down when the database is 95% full, you can change the vCenter Server Database Health Alarm default action, or you can also change the default preconfigured thresholds.
