vprob.vmfs.lock.corruptondisk
Summary
The VMFS volume is corrupt.
Causes
I/O error, perhaps caused by bad shutdown due to power failure, or faulty controller/connection.
Resolutions
It is probable that the data is not recoverable. You should create a new datastore and restore your data from backups. Stop using the corrupted datastore.
Note: You may attempt to recover some data from the corrupted datastore using:
- vCenter migrate feature
- vmkfstools
- the datastore browser.
If you are able to recover any data using above methods, you should validate the data to ensure that it has not been affected by the corruption.
