Make sure the user accounts that you plan to use have permissions described in the following sections.
Installing and Configuring Nutanix AHV Plug-in
The accounts used to install and configure Nutanix AHV Plug-in must have the following permissions.
Account | Required Permission |
|---|---|
Setup Account | The account used to install Nutanix AHV Plug-in must have the local Administrator permissions on the target machine. |
Veeam Backup & Replication User Account | The account used to run Veeam Backup & Replication services including the Veeam AHV Service must be a LocalSystem account or must have the local Administrator permissions on the server where Nutanix AHV Plug-in is installed. |
Adding Nutanix AHV Cluster to Veeam Backup & Replication Infrastructure
When you add an AHV cluster to the Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure, the specified account must have privileges of the Prism Admin role or higher. For details, see the Access Control Management section of the Prism Central Guide.
