Step 2. Select Restore Point

At the Restore Point step of the wizard, you can select the required restore point for the VM.

By default, AHV Backup Proxy restores VM disks from the latest backup snapshot. If you want to restore from an earlier restore point, you have the following options.

  • Restore from a backup

To restore a VM to an earlier state, select the necessary backup restore point and click Next.

  • Restore from a backup snapshot

To restore from a snapshot, select the required snapshot from the list and click Next.

Restore from a snapshot is significantly faster than restore from a backup. Note that you can restore from a snapshot only if the VM has at least one successful backup.

Step 2. Select Restore Point 

Note

Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV stores the last snapshot of VM for each job. For example, if a VM is protected by two jobs, the appliance will store two snapshots.
