Important

  • VeeamZIP retention is not supported for AHV VMs.
  • In the Destination section of the VeeamZIP wizard, if you select the Local or shared folder option and specify an SMB share that requires authentication, VeeamZIP process fails. As a workaround, you can register the SMB share as a backup repository and, in the VeeamZIP wizard, select the Backup repository option, where you will be able to select the added SMB share repository.
  1. Click OK and wait for the VeeamZIP job to finish.

To see the VeeamZIP backup, open the Home view, and select Disk (VeeamZIP) on the inventory pane.
