Getting Started with Veeam Data Cloud Vault

Before your customer can start using Veeam Data Cloud Vault, you must complete customer onboarding. The procedure differs depending on whether the customer has an active Veeam My Account, a paid contract with Veeam and a valid Veeam support ID or is a fully managed customer without a Veeam My Account.

Onboarding Customers with Veeam My Account

If your customer has an active Veeam My Account, a paid contract with Veeam and a valid Veeam support ID, assign the customer a new Vault subscription and create a Vault tenant in the Veeam Data Cloud organization of your customer.

To onboard the customer to Veeam Data Cloud Vault, take the following steps:

  1. Request a new Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription in VCSP Pulse. For details, see Requesting Subscriptions.
  2. Add a new Vault tenant to the Veeam Data Cloud organization of your customer. For details, see Adding Veeam Data Cloud Vault Tenants. You can also invite the customer to add the tenant themselves. For details, see Customer-Managed Onboarding.
  3. Ask your customer to add Veeam Data Cloud Vault as an object storage repository in Veeam Backup & Replication. The customer must also enable Veeam Data Cloud Vault for the registered Veeam Backup & Replication server in Veeam My Account. For details, see Using Veeam Data Cloud Vault with Veeam Backup & Replication.

To log in to Veeam My Account, the customer must use their credentials.

Onboarding Customers Without Veeam My Account

If your fully managed customer does not have an active Veeam My Account, use your Veeam Data Cloud Vault and create a new storage vault for the customer.

To onboard the customer to Veeam Data Cloud Vault, take the following steps:

  1. If you do not have a Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription, request a new Veeam Data Cloud Vault subscription in VCSP Pulse. For details, see Requesting Subscriptions.
  2. If you do not have a Veeam Data Cloud Vault tenant or you do not want to use an existing one, add a new Vault tenant to your Veeam Data Cloud organization. For details, see Adding Veeam Data Cloud Vault Tenants.
  3. Create a new storage vault in your Veeam Data Cloud Vault tenant. For each customer, create a dedicated storage vault. For details, see Adding Storage Vaults.
  4. Add Veeam Data Cloud Vault as an object storage repository in Veeam Backup & Replication and enable Veeam Data Cloud Vault for the registered Veeam Backup & Replication server in Veeam My Account. For details, see Using Veeam Data Cloud Vault with Veeam Backup & Replication.

To log in to Veeam My Account, use your credentials.
