Using Microsoft Active Directory Object Restore Wizard

To start Microsoft Active Directory Object Restore wizard, do one of the following:

• In Veeam Backup & Replication console, open the Home view, switch to the Home tab of the ribbon menu and click Restore on the toolbar. In the Restore wizard, select the corresponding platform, then select Application items. From the list of applications, select Microsoft Active Directory and click Next. You will be taken to the Step 1. Specify a Domain Controller VM of the Microsoft Active Directory Item Restore wizard.

• In Veeam Backup & Replication, open the Home view, switch to the Backup tab of the ribbon menu. In the navigation tree select the required node and in the preview pane on the right expand the backup job with the Microsoft Active Directory server. Then, select Application items > Microsoft Active Directory from the ribbon. You will be taken to the Step 2. Select the Restore Point of the Microsoft Active Directory Item Restore wizard.

• In Veeam Backup & Replication, open the Home view, switch to the Backup tab of the ribbon menu, expand the backup job with the Microsoft Active Directory server in the working area. Right-click the Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services server and select Restore application items > Microsoft Active Directory objects.... You will be taken to the Step 2. Select the Restore Point of the Microsoft Active Directory Item Restore wizard. Note that you can use this method only for Microsoft Active Directory backups that were created using VSS-aware image processing enabled.
