Configuring Simple Backup Repositories

    Backup repositories are locations for storing backup files and auxiliary replica files. You can use the following types of simple backup repositories in the backup infrastructure:

    • Microsoft Windows server with a local or directly attached storage
    • Linux server with local, directly attached or mounted NFS storage
    • Shared CIFS (SMB) folder
    • Deduplicating storage appliance: EMC Data Domain, ExaGrid and HPE StoreOnce
