Restoring Entire VMs to Amazon EC2

You can restore Azure VMs from image-level backups to AWS as EC2 instances. You can restore Azure VMs to any available restore point.

Before you begin, consider requirements and limitations for the restore to EC2 instance procedure.

To restore an Azure VM as an EC2 instance, perform the following steps:

  1. Launch the Restore to Amazon EC2 wizard.
  2. Select a restore point.
  3. Specify AWS account and region settings.
  4. Specify EC2 instance and network settings.
  5. Configure helper appliance.
  6. Review the restore setup and launch the restore.
