Adding File Proxy

You must add to the backup infrastructure one or more file proxies that you plan to use for moving backup data from the file share to the backup repository.

Before you add a file proxy to the inventory of the virtual infrastructure, check the following prerequisites:

• The file share meets system requirements.
• The file proxy is a Windows-managed server.

To add a file proxy:

1. Launch the New File Proxy wizard.
2. Choose a Microsoft Windows server.
3. Configure traffic throttling rules.
4. Review properties and components to install.
5. Apply file proxy settings.
6. Finish working with the wizard.
