Veeam Backup & Replication allows you to import backups located in object storage repositories into the Veeam Backup & Replication console so that you can perform disaster recovery operations in case the configuration of the scale-out backup repository was permanently lost and is unavailable.
Consider the following:
- The Import Backups option is available only if object storage is not part of a scale-out backup repository.
- Before you start importing backups, make sure to add an object storage repository that stores data you want to import.
- If you have imported backups from an object storage repository, you will not be able to select this repository as a capacity extent at the Add Capacity Tier step.
- The Import Backups option is applicable only to the Capacity Tier backups. It does not support the NAS backups.
