Monitored Datastores

On the Monitored Datastores tab, you can select datastores that must be included in reports and datastores that must be excluded from reporting.

If you do not need to collect data about specific datastores (for example, local datastores or datastores with ISO images), you can exclude these datastores from the collection scope.

Excluding datastores will accelerate completion of a data collection sessions. Excluded datastores will not be reflected in several reports that analyze and list the files residing on datastores (such as the Garbage Files and Idle Templates reports).

To exclude one or more datastores from the collection scope:

1. Click Options on the toolbar and choose Server Settings.

Alternatively, press [CTRL+S] on the keyboard.

2. In the Server Settings window, go to the Monitored Datastores tab.
3. Expand the virtual infrastructure hierarchy and select check boxes next to datastores you want to exclude.
4. Click OK to apply changes.
