Changing Passwords

If you need to set a new password for an account, the default and preferred method is to change it in the Veeam Backup & Replication console. The new password will be synchronized automatically into VAO.

You can also change a password for an account in the VAO UI. However, keep in mind that if you change a password in the VAO UI, the new password will not be synchronized into the Veeam Backup & Replication console.

  1. Log in to the VAO UI as a VAO Administrator. For details, see Accessing VAO UI.
  2. Switch to the Administration tab.
  3. Navigate to Plan Components > Credentials.
  4. In the Credentials column, select a credential that you want to modify, and click Edit.
  5. In the Edit VAO Credential window:
  1. [This step applies only if you try to change a password for credentials automatically retrieved from a connected Veeam Backup & Replication server]

Select the Override password check box.

  1. In the Password field, enter a new password.
  2. Click Save.

I want to report a typo

There is a misspelling right here:

I want to let the Veeam Documentation Team know about that.
