Overview

Veeam Agent for Oracle Solaris is a data protection and disaster recovery solution for machines running the Oracle Solaris operating system.

Veeam Agent can be used by IT administrators who run Oracle Solaris infrastructure. The solution runs inside the Oracle Solaris machine OS and can be installed in the global Oracle Solaris zone or in a non-global zone.

Veeam Agent lets you back up directories and files of your Oracle Solaris machine. Backups can be stored on a local hard drive, on an external hard drive, in a network shared folder or on a Veeam backup repository.

In case of a disaster, you can restore the necessary data from backups to its original location or a new location.

Veeam Agent can be integrated with Veeam Backup & Replication. Backup administrators who work with Veeam Backup & Replication can perform advanced tasks with Veeam Agent backups: restore data from backups, perform tasks with backup jobs configured in Veeam Agent and backups created with these jobs.
