Step 6. Add Plan Steps

At the Steps step of the wizard, use the list of plan steps to select steps to be performed for each VM during failover. Keep in mind that Process Replica VM step must execute first for the failover process to perform successfully.

For a step to be displayed in the Available Steps list, it must be added to the list of inventory items available for the scope, as described in section Managing Inventory Items. If a step is displayed as not available, this means either that the step has already been added to the plan and cannot be added twice — or that the step is not supported for the selected recovery location.

By default, Orchestrator will perform the same selected steps in the same order for all new VMs that will later appear in the inventory groups included in the plan. However, you can change the step execution order and modify the list of steps individually for each VM, as described in section Configuring Steps.
