Step 1. Launch Create Recovery Media Wizard

To launch the Create Recovery Media wizard:

Open the Inventory view.
In the inventory pane, expand the Physical and Cloud Infrastructure node and select a protection group that contains the necessary protected computer.
In the working area, select the computer and click Recovery Media on the ribbon or right-click the computer and select Agent > Create recovery media.

NOTE

Veeam Backup & Replication creates the recovery media from the latest restore point of the computer that contains recovery media data, that is, the latest restore point created by an entire computer backup or a volume-level backup that includes the OS volume. Veeam Backup & Replication checks restore points created by all backup jobs and policies that process the computer. When you launch the wizard this way, you cannot select a specific backup or restore point.

If you want to create the recovery media from a backup created by a specific backup job or policy, launch the Create Recovery Media wizard from the Backups node in the Home view of the Veeam backup console and select the necessary backup. To learn more, see Creating Recovery Media from Backup.
