Veeam Agent for IBM AIX is set up on a machine whose data you want to protect. When you install the product, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX deploys the following components:

mkdrcd — a command-line utility that Veeam Agent for IBM AIX uses to create the recovery image. The recovery image lets you boot your machine and use the Veeam Recovery Environment to restore data from a backup.
veeamcfg — a command-line utility that Veeam Agent for IBM AIX uses to read the machine configuration and save it to a configuration file. Veeam Agent for IBM AIX uses the saved configuration to recover a machine with the Veeam Recovery Environment.
ubax — a command-line utility that Veeam Agent for IBM AIX uses to back up data and restore data from a backup.
gubax — utility that provides a curses graphical user interface for the ubax utility.
veeam — utility that provides a curses graphical user interface (Veeam Backup Console) for the mkdrcd and veeamcfg utilities. Veeam Agent for IBM AIX also uses the Veeam Backup Console to start the gubax utility.

disrec — utility that Veeam Agent for IBM AIX uses by perform bare-metal restore with the Veeam Recovery Environment.
