Step 2. Specify Backup Location Settings
You must specify settings for the backup location that contains the backup file from which you want to recover data. The process of specifying file backup location settings differs depending on whether information about the backup location was added to the recovery image. The following scenarios are available:
- Scenario 1. Information about the backup location is included in the recovery image.
By default, the Veeam Recovery Environment contains information about backup locations that were configured in Veeam Agent for IBM AIX on your machine prior to the time when you created the recovery image on this machine. If information about the backup location that you plan to use for data recovery is available in the recovery environment, to specify backup location settings, you must complete the following steps:
- Mount an NFS volume used as a backup location to the Veeam Recovery Environment file system.
- Select this backup location as a default backup location for data recovery.
- Select the backup version (in case you plan to restore data from an incremental backup).
- Scenario 2. Information about the backup location is not included in the recovery image.
If the backup location that you plan to use for data recovery was not configured in Veeam Agent for IBM AIX prior to the time when you created the recovery image on your machine, this backup location will not be available in the recovery image. To use this backup location for data recovery, you will additionally need to add it to the recovery environment. In this case, to specify backup location settings, you must complete the following steps:
- Mount an NFS volume used as a backup location to the Veeam Recovery Environment file system.
- Add information about this backup location to the recovery environment.
- Select the backup version (in case you plan to restore data from an incremental backup).
