Step 3.2. Restore Configuration from Backup

In this article

If the file that contains up-to-date information about the restored machine configuration is included in the backup file that you selected for data recovery, you must restore the machine configuration from the backup. During this process, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will retrieve information about the machine configuration from the backup file and save it to the configuration file in the recovery environment file system. That can be a default configuration file (/VEEAMCFG/disrec.xml) or custom file whose path you specified at the Specify Location for Configuration File step of this procedure.

Step 3.2. Restore Configuration from Backup Tip:

If the file that contains up-to-date information about the restored machine configuration resides in a mounted NFS directory and not in the backup file, then you do not need to restore configuration from the backup. You can skip this step and proceed immediately to the Specify Data Recovery Settings step of this procedure.

To import configuration from the backup:

    1. In the Automatic recovery — configuration menu, select Restore configuration from backup.
