Performing Backup with Command-Line Interface

    You can use the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX command-line interface to create file-level backups of your data. The backup process differs depending on the backup type: full backup or incremental backup.

    Performing Backup with Command-Line Interface Note:

    To recover your machine from a backup, in addition to the configuration backup and file-level backup of this machine, you must have a recovery image created on this machine. You can create the recovery image with the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX command-line interface. To learn more, see Creating Recovery Image.

    Performing Full Backup

    To perform full backup with the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX command-line interface, you must complete the following steps:

    1. Record system configuration.
    2. Specify the backup scope.
    3. Specify backup location settings.
    4. Specify the default backup location.
    5. Perform full backup.

    Performing Incremental Backup

    To perform incremental backup with the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX command-line interface, you must complete the following steps:

    1. Record system configuration.
    2. Specify backup location settings.
    3. Specify the default backup location.
    4. Perform incremental backup.
