The product installation media is supplied as an archive file of the .tar.gz format. The archive file for Veeam Agent for IBM AIX has the following name:

VeeamAgent-1.0.0.39-ppc64.tar.gz

The product installation media contains the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX software package and prerequisite software packages in the following formats:

BFF packages. To install the product from BFF packages, use the AIX System Management Interface Tool (accessible via the smit or smitty command). To learn more, see Installing Veeam Agent for IBM AIX with SMIT.
RPM packages. To install the product from RPM packages, use the RPM Package Manager. To learn more, see Installing Veeam Agent for IBM AIX with RPM.

It is recommended that you install Veeam Agent for IBM AIX and all prerequisite software using the same method: either from BFF packages or from RPM packages.
