Installing License

In this article

To install a license, use the following command:

    veeam [-b] -i <path>

    where:

    • -b — option to suppress all prompts during the license installation process.
    • -i — option to install a license.
    • <path> — path to the license key file.

Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will install the license and display information about the license. You can also view this information later at any time. To learn more, see Viewing License Information.

    For example:

    veeam -b -i /mnt/veeam/license/veeam.lic

    Installing License Note:

If you install a license for the first time and run the command to install a license without the -b option, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will also prompt you to accept license agreements. To install a license, you must accept the following license agreements:

    • Veeam Agent for IBM AIX license agreement. This license agreement is located in the /etc/veeam/EULA.txt file on the machine where you installed the product.
    • License agreement for third-party software components operating as a part of the product. This license agreement is located in the /etc/veeam/3rdPartyNotices.txt file on the machine where you installed the product.

To accept a license agreement, in the command prompt, type 'y' and then press [ENTER].
