Step 6. Start Backup Process

    Once you have configured the backup settings, you can start the backup process.

    To perform full backup:

    1. In the Veeam backup console menu, select Backup.
    2. In the Backup menu, select Full backup.

    To perform incremental backup:

    1. In the Veeam backup console menu, select Backup.
    2. In the Backup menu, select Incremental backup.

    Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will start the backup process. If one or more mount points included in the currently used backup selection are not mounted, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will display a warning. Otherwise, the backup process will proceed.

    Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will display information about operations performed during the backup process. After the process completes, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX will display the results. You will be able to finish working with the Veeam Backup Console.
