You can restore data pertaining to a WPAR from the WPAR backup. When you perform WPAR restore, Veeam Agent for IBM AIX overwrites the entire data pertaining to the WPAR on your machine with the WPAR data in the backup. You cannot undo this operation.
To restore a WPAR, you can use the Veeam Backup Console or Veeam Agent for IBM AIX command-line interface. The WPAR restore capabilities differ depending on the way you perform WPAR restore:
- With the Veeam Backup Console, you can restore a WPAR only to the state when the latest WPAR backup file was created. You cannot currently restore a WPAR to a specific point in time.
- With the command-line interface, you can specify the backup file(s) from which you want to restore a WPAR. This allows you to restore a WPAR to a specific point in time.
