Default lab groups are lab groups created for the DR site, but available for failover plan testing in any site.
To allow Production Site Administrators and Failover Plan Authors to use a default lab group when testing plans for their Production site:
- Log in to the VAO UI in the DR site as a DR Site Administrator. For details, see Accessing VAO UI.
- Enable a virtual lab for the Production site as described in section Enabling Virtual Labs.
- Add the default lab group to the virtual lab as described in section Creating Lab Groups.
The virtual lab with the lab group will become available for the Production site, and Production Site Administrators and Failover Plan Authors will become able to use the group for failover plan testing.
The lab group will be preselected in the Run Lab Tests and Create Test Schedule wizards, and it will start before all other lab groups in the virtual lab every time VAO powers on the lab to test a failover plan. Production Site Administrators and Failover Plan Authors will not be able to edit the group or delete it from the virtual lab because default lab groups can be managed only by DR Site Administrators.
