Creating Cloud Director Backup Jobs

A Cloud Director backup job defines a list of VMware Cloud Director organizations, datacenters, vApps and VMs to back up, a repository in which to store backups, guest OS processing settings and a schedule according to which new backups must be created.

Before you create a backup job, check prerequisites described in the Creating Backup Jobs for Cloud Director VMs section of the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide.

Note:

  • Creating VMware Cloud Director jobs is available for Veeam Backup & Replication version 12.1 or later.
  • Make sure your service provider has enabled Veeam Backup & Replication REST API access.

Note that you cannot schedule backup jobs configured on Veeam Backup & Replication servers that were assigned to you by your service provider if your service provider has disabled scheduling jobs on these servers for your company.
