Generating Backup Activity History Report

To generate the Backup Activity History report, do the following:

1. On the Microsoft 365 page, click the name of the tenant you want to manage.
2. Select Reports.
3. Click Generate a Report Now.

4. Select the Backup Activity History report.

5. In the Object types section, from the drop-down list, select one or more object types you want to include in the report. The available object types are the following: Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.

6. In the Protection type section, select the check boxes next to Express and Flex or both, to include objects in the report protected within Express and Flex backup policies.

7. In the Policy section, from the drop-down list, select one or more backup policies whose objects you want to include in the report.

8. In the Status section, from the drop-down list, select one or more statuses of the backup policy session you want to include in the report. The available statuses are the following: Success, Warning, Failed, Aborted.
   

9. In the Date range section, select a date range from the calendar. Veeam Data Cloud will generate the report for the selected date range.

10. In the Format section, select the check boxes next to PDF and CSV or both, to specify the format of the generated report.
    For PDF, select whether the .PDF page orientation is Landscape or Portrait.
    

11. Click Preview to view an interactive preview of the report. For more information, see Previewing Backup Activity History Report.

12. Click Generate Report. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 will generate the report in the format you specified.

Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 will display the The report is being generated and you will be notified once it is complete message.

Click Notifications to view the status of the report. In the list of notifications, click the link in the Name column of the notification about the report. Veeam Data Cloud will display a session log with detailed information.

In the window with the details of the operation, click Download File. The report is saved to your browser download location.

Previewing Backup Activity History Report

To preview a Backup Activity History report, specify the settings for the report and click Preview.

In the Backup Activity History Preview page, Veeam Data Cloud displays the following information:

• At the top, there is a summary of the report settings. Veeam Data Cloud displays the selected date, object types and policies . Click Edit to re-configure the report settings.

• The next section shows a summary of backup session runs. Veeam Data Cloud displays the following information:

• Total Runs. The total number of backup session runs.
• Successful. The number and percentage of successful backup session runs.
• Unsuccessful. The number and percentage of unsuccessful backup session runs.
• Processed Objects. The number of objects processed within the backup session runs.

• In the Policy Run Outcomes by Day section, Veeam Data Cloud displays the success rate and status of backup policy runs by day.
• In the Object Outcomes by Day section, Veeam Data Cloud displays the success rate of processed objects by day.
• In the table section, Veeam Data Cloud displays details for all the objects included in the report. The table contains the following information:

• Policy. The name of the backup policy.
• Policy Type. Whether the backup policy is a Flex or Express backup policy.
• Start Date. The date and time when the backup policy session was started.
• End Date. The date and time when the backup policy session was completed.
• Duration. The duration of the backup policy session.
• Status. The status of the backup policy session.
• Total Objects. The number of objects that were processedd in the backup policy session.
• Objects Breakdown. The status of the processed objects.

Backup Activity History Report CSV Fields

You can generate the Backup Activity History report in the .CSV format. The .CSV file contains the following fields:

• Policy Name. The name of the backup policy.
• Policy Type. Whether the backup policy is a Flex or Express backup policy.
• Tenant. The name of the tenant.
• Start Time (UTC). The date and time (in UTC) when the backup policy session was started.
• End Time (UTC). The date and time (in UTC) when the backup policy session was started.
• Duration. The duration of the backup policy session.
• Status. The status of the backup policy session.
• Object Types. The types of the objects included in the backup policy. The available types are the following: Mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
• Objects Processed (Total). The number of objects that were processed within the backup policy.
• Objects Processed (Success). The number of objects that were successfully processed within the backup policy.
• Objects Processed (Warning). The number of objects that were processed with a warning within the backup policy.
• Objects Processed (Error). The number of objects that were processed with errors within the backup policy.
• Data Transferred (GiB). The amount of backed-up data within the backup policy.
• Total. The total number of backup policy runs and the sum totals for each of the Status, Objects Processed (Success), Objects Processed (Warning), Objects Processed (Error) and Data Transferred (GiB) columns.
