Specifying Encryption Settings for Storage Vaults
This secton applies to Azure editions of Veeam Data Cloud Vault and customers with keys enabled.
You can specify encryption settings for a storage vault — that is, specify whether to use encryption keys managed by Veeam or your own keys.
To specify encryption settings, do the following:
- On the Vault page, find the necessary tenant in the list of tenants and click the tenant name. Alternatively, click the button with three dots at the end of the row and click Manage.
Alternatively, click the menu icon at the end of the row and click Manage.
- In the left menu, click Storage Vaults.
- On the Storage Vaults page, locate the storage vault whose settings you want to edit and click Manage.
Alternatively, if you have switched to the list view, click the menu icon in the Actions column and select Manage.
- In the Manage vault window, go to the Encryption tab.
- Select one of the following options:
- Microsoft Managed Key. Select this option (default) to use Veeam-managed encryption.
- Customer Managed Key. Select this option to use your own, customer-managed encryption. From the Encryption Key drop-down list, select the encryption key you want to use. For the drop-down list to be visible, you must first configure an encryption key in the Veeam Data Cloud settings. An encryption key is available on the list only when it is in the Ready or Active status. For more information on encryption keys, see Veeam Data Cloud Encryption Keys. The feature is not available for Partner organizations.
-
Click Done.
Alternatively, if you have switched to the list view, click the menu icon in the Actions column and select Manage.
