Restoring VM Hard Disks

In this article

You can restore virtual hard disks of a VM from the backup. The restored disks can be attached to the original VM (for example, if you need to replace a corrupted disk) or mapped to any other VM in the virtual infrastructure.

Before restoring VM hard disks from the backup, check prerequisites. Then use the Hard Disk Restore wizard to restore the necessary VM disks.

    1. Launch the Hard Disk Restore wizard
    2. Select a VM
    3. Select a restore point
    4. Select virtual hard disks to restore
    5. Specify a restore reason
    6. Finish working with the wizard
