Exporting to Custom Location

This section explains how to export a standalone database or a Data Guard database as an RMAN backup to a selected point-in-time state on the backup file. Your Oracle data will be restored to a custom location.

Note

When exporting from a Data Guard configuration as described in this section, the databases from the Data Guard configuration will be exported as standalone Oracle databases, preserving no Data Guard infrastructure.

To export a database as an RMAN backup to a custom location, do the following:

Launch the Export wizard.
Specify a restore point.
Fine-tune the restore point.
Specify export location.
Review the export summary.
