Veeam Explorer for PostgreSQL launch

The account used to run Veeam Explorer for PostgreSQL must meet the following requirements:

  • The account must have the Veeam Backup Administrator or Veeam Restore Operator role on the backup server.

Consider the following when configuring the account used to connect to the target server:

  • When you export data to the local host where the Veeam Backup & Replication console is installed, the account under which Veeam Explorer for PostgreSQL is running must be a member of the local Administrators group.
  • When you export data to a Linux server, the account used to connect to the target server can be a Linux user with non-root privileges.
