Exporting Point-in-Time State

This section explains how to export a standalone database or a Data Guard database as an RMAN backup to a selected point-in-time state on the backup file. Your data will be exported to the default location.

Note

When exporting from a Data Guard configuration as described in this section, the databases from the Data Guard configuration will be exported as standalone Oracle databases, preserving no Data Guard infrastructure.

To export data as an RMAN backup as of a point-in-time state, do the following:

Launch the Export wizard.
Specify a restore point.
Fine-tune the restore point.
Review the export summary.
