Specifying Service Account for Worker Instances

To specify a service account that will be used to launch worker instances, do the following:

1. Switch to the Configuration page.

2. Navigate to Workers > Network.

3. Click the link in the Service account section.

4. In the Choose Account window, select the necessary service account and click Apply.

For a service account to be displayed in the list of available accounts, it must be added to Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure and assigned the Worker Management role as described in section Adding Service Accounts. Also, it must belong to the same Azure AD tenant and Azure subscription with which the backup appliance is associated.

After you specify a service account, it is recommended that you check whether the service account has all the permissions required to launch worker instances as described in section Checking Service Account Permissions.
